Rocket Farm founder Dan brings start-up savvy as well as technical leadership to his work launching successful smart phone apps. Most recently, at Quattro Wireless, Dan led the development of some of mobile’s largest and most popular consumer web sites, including WAP and iPhone versions of nfl.com, cbsnews.com, adage.com, tmz.com and patriots.mobi.
Before moving into mobile, Dan was Chief Technology Officer of I’m In!, an innovative social networking site focused on group travel. Prior to joining I’m In!, he was CTO of Netspoke, the leading provider of integrated web and audio conferencing, where he oversaw technology strategy and overall product and enterprise architecture. Under his leadership, Netspoke was recognized as an Inc. 500 fastest growing private company two years in a row; in 2005, the company was successfully acquired by Premiere Global Services (NYSE:PGI).
Over the course of his career, Dan has been part of the founding technology teams for Imidio (acquired by Sitescape/Novell), Watchpoint Media (acquired by GoldPocket/Tanberg) and Viant Corporation (IPO). He also lead software development for Eastman Kodak Corporation’s PictureMaker, which generated over $130 million in revenue.
Dan earned his Ph.D. and master’s degrees in computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in electrical engineering and computer science from Tufts University. He has authored more than 10 publications and is co-inventor on 5 patents.
