Rocket Farm founder Dan brings start-up savvy as well as technical leadership to his work launching successful smart phone apps. Most recently, at Quattro Wireless, Dan led the development of some of mobile’s largest and most popular consumer web sites, including WAP and iPhone versions of nfl.com, cbsnews.com, adage.com, tmz.com and patriots.mobi.

Before moving into mobile, Dan was Chief Technology Officer of I’m In!, an innovative social networking site focused on group travel. Prior to joining I’m In!, he was CTO of Netspoke, the leading provider of integrated web and audio conferencing, where he oversaw technology strategy and overall product and enterprise architecture. Under his leadership, Netspoke was recognized as an Inc. 500 fastest growing private company two years in a row; in 2005, the company was successfully acquired by Premiere Global Services (NYSE:PGI).

Over the course of his career, Dan has been part of the founding technology teams for Imidio (acquired by Sitescape/Novell), Watchpoint Media (acquired by GoldPocket/Tanberg) and Viant Corporation (IPO). He also lead software development for Eastman Kodak Corporation’s PictureMaker, which generated over $130 million in revenue.

Dan earned his Ph.D. and master’s degrees in computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in electrical engineering and computer science from Tufts University. He has authored more than 10 publications and is co-inventor on 5 patents.

Jenny Chang, Co-Founder

Jenny Chang, Co-Founder

As co-founder, Jenny oversees the design and user experience across all Rocket Farm Missions. She brings her extensive background in user experience design and management to the Rocket Farm team, making sure we create engaging products that not only solve problems, but are fun and easy to use. Her 15+ years of user experience and design expertise spans the digital web and mobile product space as well as the built environment.

Jenny has played key leadership roles in three start-ups, two design consulting firms and two Fortune 500 companies, including: ArcStream Solutions, a mobile and wireless systems integration consulting company; Netspoke; Iron Mountain Digital; Fidelity Investments; and CityVoter. At ArcStream, Jenny was the Creative Director for mobile and web solutions for Media, Publishing, Healthcare, and CPG industries, and Universities. In 2003, Jenny received Computerworld’s Best Practices in Mobile and Wireless Award for her work on UNICCO’s web and mobile application. At startup Netspoke, Jenny was instrumental in revamping the user experience and UI design of the core product which had a direct impact in its acquisition from Premiere Global Services.

In her previous life, Jenny was a Landscape Architect, although she will tell you that the two careers have a lot more in common than you might think. When she’s not thinking about solving UX problems, she can be found with a camera in-hand making the natives uneasy.

TED LEDOUX, CO-FOUNDER

As co-founder, Ted oversees the implementation and delivery of all of Rocket Farm’s robust iPhone apps. His passion for superior architecture and performance is driven by his desire to deliver maximum value to Rocket Farm’s partners and users.

A highly motivated technologist with more than 20 years of development experience, Ted’s strength is taking software solutions from concept to delivery. He has leveraged his versatility with a wide range of platforms, technologies and programming languages to deliver quality solutions in a variety of environments, from early start-ups to global corporations.

Before coming to Rocket Farm, Ted was a key contributor at Imidio, where he designed and developed web conferencing and collaboration software; he continued to refine and enhance the product through its acquisition by SiteScape and, later, Novell. Prior to Imidio, Ted worked at iConverse, where he created a development studio used to implement mobile applications for all types of phones, from simple voice-only handsets to sophisticated smart phones.
